The Printkick W cable 3-in-1 is perfect for us. I use a Type C lead for my phone but the Mr still has a Micro USB so this fab little lead will make recharging on the go even easier. It will also mean carrying less bulk on days out as we only need the one cable instead of 2. It has a fast charge output of 2A and has a strong silicone flat cable that is non-tangle. The W Cable is compatible with all devices including Android phones, tablets, Windows phone, Go Pro, GPS & Apple items too.

With a whole range of templates and designs and the option to create your own, I decided to do something a little different. The Mr recently bought me a (working!) LG G5 but I haven’t found a case I liked yet so designing my own LG G5 Case was great.

As a blogger, it’s handy to have your details to hand and easy to show. With a few summer events coming up I decided to create a business card phone case. Especially since I keep forgetting to order actual business cards. I would no doubt forget to take them or hand them out anywhere anyway, haha! I never forget my phone though and generally have it in my hand so a business card personalised phone case seemed a great idea. The Mr came up with the idea of adding a QR code as most phones have a QR reader and people could easily scan and view my site.

Adding my site address, Twitter and Instagram accounts makes it easier for people to find me. I don’t tend to use facebook much so decided to leave that out. I used an app to create a QR code linking to my site. Then, using Canva, I quickly created the layout I wanted, using my blog colours & font. Once I was happy, I uploaded it on MyPersonalisedCases.co.uk and made sure it fit the case correctly. It is so quick & easy to upload, turn and resize images.. I was also impressed with how quickly my personalised phone case arrived. I ordered late Thursday night & it arrived Monday! Everyone who has seen the case has been impressed the QR code works

Upcycling Projects – Zacsmart Honey Pine Collection

I have 2 upcycling projects from Zacsmart that I am absolutely in love with! Their Honey Pine finished products are designed so they can be left as they are or upcycled. These make perfect gifts for crafters or perfect for crafters wanting to upcycle and personalise their gifts.

I received a fantastic Honey Pine Wooden Cantilever Sewing Box/Storage Box and a small Trinket Box which are gorgeous. The Cantilever sewing/storage box (£24.75) is ideal for storing bits and pieces like needles, thimbles & threads.

It is portable with a nice chunky carrying handle and 5 storage compartments. The sliding lids have been designed to act as a handy shelf to put things on too.

The Cantilever sewing box is great with all its compartments. I quite like how the Honey Pine Cantilever sewing box looks already so I think I will leave it as it is until I can think of a better plan!

 

Upcycling Projects

The small trinket box is £6.30 and the size is (approx.): 5.5cmH x 13cmD x 18cmW. This little trinket box is perfect for storing all sorts of little bits and pieces. Receiving it reminded me the girls have an overflow of jewellery at the moment. This instantly gave me an idea to make the small trinket box one of my first upcycling projects.

First I decided to paint the trinket box using a pink satin finish spray paint we had previously bought to match the pink in the girls bedroom. The paint dried really well and looked lovely with a satin finish. The Mr had helped me tape off the catch and hinges to minimise clean up at the end.

Upcycling Projects

Using pink and purple fuzzy letters I added ‘Princess’ to the top along with a crown, key and some jewels. I think it turned out quite nice and will look lovely in the girls bedroom.

I made my order and then received an email to double check one of the personalised mugs had intentionally been left without personalisation. Once I had confirmed the order was correct, because the Mr is a grumpy git (haha!) my order was processed.

Obviously the ‘Relentlessly Purple’ Mug is for myself. I can’t review mugs without a cup of tea first! I was over the moon to discover I could use different fonts and could make mine much more like my blog logo. Perfect for IG photo’s. I couldn’t wait to have a cup of tea and of course pose with my Relentlessly Purple mug, even if I do look rough at 7am!

The Red Campervan mug without personalisation is of course for the fussy Mr. He loves the design & the fact he didn’t have to have his name on it! He isn’t keen on personalised gifts & it is beyond awkward trying to find anything he likes at all. The Mr seems really pleased with his mug though and has already used it too!

This colourful cat mug is for my Brother with his & his cats name on. I’m sure Alex will love his mug and I am so excited to give it to him. I am hiding this one away until Christmas for him though.
