Fleece Onesies For Kids From Hunkemöller

Hunkemöller Fleece Onesies for kids are gorgeous! We were sent one for Eva to review and we are in love with it. Part of the Mini-me collection, you can both snuggle up in matching fleece onesies! Unfortunately, Eva has been quite poorly over the last week. We had to wait for her nose to stop shinning red to take some photo’s but she really enjoyed snuggling up in it.

Hunkemöller is a lingerie and nightwear retailer which I love. Last year I shared a pair of their gorgeous slipper boots in my Christmas gift guide for her. All Hunkemöller products are high quality and the company have won several industry awards. Founded in 1886 in Amsterdam, Hunkemöller has become world famous and a well-known name across 24 countries!

We really love the hood on this fleece onesie and I am seriously considering buying them adult one so we can match. There’s even one for your dog! A

This comfy and cute fleece onesie is perfect for snuggling up with a film on those cold days & nights. It really is super soft and the design is absolutely adorable!

Eva’s Thoughts

Eva loves her onesie and says it is super soft and warm, perfect for snuggling up in. She really loves the light pink colour and thinks the hood is amazing. Having shown Eva the adult onesie to match, she now wants me to buy one too. These would make fab Christmas eve box additions, something cute, warm and perfect for snuggling up with a hotchocolate and film.

We were sent a Japanese Banno Knife to review from Sous Chef this week. The Mr loves a good knife to use in the kitchen and was quite excited to try the Japanese Banno Knife out. He rushed out to get some ingredients and got to work creating a delivcious Katsu Curry.

Soothing Skin With Eucerin #MyAquaphor

I’m using a Soothing Skin Balm from Eucerin called Aquaphor. Having sensitive skin due to Eczema I often struggle to find products that help.

I was kindly sent a sample of Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm to try out. Designed to give dry to very dry, cracked and irritated skin the SOS care it needs for all the family. Containing only 8 ingredients, Aquaphor is gentle enough to use on highly irritated skin, babies skin and as a nappy cream.

Protecting skin by creating a breathable protective barrier, Eucerin Aquaphor soothing skin balm allows the skin to breathe. Allowing oxygen and water vapor to circulate to and from the skin helps strengthen it natural barrier function.

Dry Skin

Izzy fell over at school a few weeks back and ended up with a big graze on her chin. Of course, she picked this like mad at first and other creams have done very little. It was so dry and cracked from the cold weather but no longer weeping so I decided to see if Eucerin Aquaphor would help. After a bath, I put some on Izzy’s chin and left it. As you can see below it was quite bad to begin with!

I then forgot to use Eucerin Aquaphor for a day or so and you could see her chin was beginning to irritate Izzy again. We’ve started using it again and it is slowly helping. As you can see below it has gone from an almost heart-shaped scab to 2 smaller scabs and the skin is healing around it at last. Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin balm is amazing!

Eczema

I have Eczema and really struggle during the winter with my skin. My arms are full of makes from tearing my arms apart so I thought I’d try using Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm for myself too. After a bath, I slathered my arms in the balm and it instantly felt soothing. Usually, my arms feel on fire even after a cool bath or shower and I can’t stop scratching!

I forgot to take a before photo but the photo above shows my arm after a week of use. I suddenly realised I hadn’t been scratching anywhere near as much. There aren’t any fresh scabs where my skin feels much calmer and it is a lovely relief. I can see Eucerin Aquaphor becoming a household essential for us and can see why it has been a household stable since it was first introduced to the US market in 1925.

Discussing Feelings With My Mood Stars

We’ve been discussing feelings with My Mood Stars this week from Wendy Woo. As mental health and wellness is the focus on the blog right now these fit in perfectly! Being able to discuss our feelings is important and learning that from an early age can only be beneficial.

My Mood Stars

My Mood Stars are a fun developmental aid which encourages children to learn about and discuss their feelings. Through imaginative play children can find fun ways to share their feelings. There are 8 stars in total, Happy, Sad, Sleepy, Shy, Scared, Silly, Cross & Surprised. My Mood Stars comes with a Velcro board for the stars to attach to for £29.99

The Idea Behind My Mood Stars

Self-confident children in touch with their feelings find it easier to flourish in social situations. Indeed personal, social and emotional development and communication are key aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage in the UK. Children who understand and can express and manage their own emotions, as well as those around them, are more likely to develop a positive sense of self and be assured and inquisitive learners.

Discussing Feelings

We’ve spent the week discussing & drawing what makes us feel each feeling. We began with finding one thing for each feeling and I was pleased to see the girls could easily come up with ideas. We received a My Mood Stars book to record our feelings in which you can buy for £5.99.

Eva really enjoyed drawing each feeling and came up with some great pictures!

We’ve used the board to throw Stars when we want to discuss a feeling too. Angry has been used quite a bit with the girls off school and arguing. It’s had a very positive effect as they then take the time to listen to each other.

Another activity we have enjoyed is looking back at our day and through feelings and what made us feel that way. From waking up Cross because there’s too much noise in the building to feeling Happy because we watched a film. It’s lovely to see the girls discussing their feelings and I love the whole idea behind My Mood Stars.

You can also buy a fantastic rhyming book called Rat’s Musical Band written by Wendy White which the girls really enjoyed reading. It really flows nicely and appeals to children with colourful illustrations by Claire Rollinson. This is just £9.99 on the Wendy Woo Site.
